The 2014 Texas School
Scrabble Championship (TSSC) will take place Saturday, March 1, 2014
Pairs of students in grades 4-8 may participate. Registration deadline is February 22, 2014. A link to the registration form can be found to the right of this blog post. Prizes will be awarded. All schools are asked to bring their own boards,bags,tiles and timers. We have not limited the number of teams at this time.
Because a mini-tournament was very popular for the younger students in the past, it will be brought back for third graders by popular demand.
If you have students in third grade bring them along so they can enjoy the championship atmosphere and compete with other students their age. You will not need to fill out a registration form for them. If you have an uneven number, we will find a way to pair them up. Please indicate the number of students attending who will be under the fourth grade level somewhere on your registration forms so that we will have an idea of how many will be joining us.
Sign-in on the day of the championship will begin at 8:00 a.m. and the tournament will end around 4 p.m. with the presentation of awards.

will be used at the championship. We have checked with the judges and they have
indicated that these are the forms that will be used again this year. Please familiarize
your students with the forms so that they will be prepared.
